Construction on the SR-18 Bluff Street Project officially started on Monday, July 6, 2026. The project, which involves improvements to the South Bluff Street Corridor, follows a bidding process won by Interstate Rock.
The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) completed the design for these improvements using input from the City of St. George and other entities. As part of the process, the UDOT Right-of-Way team is contacting property owners to discuss potential impacts and resolution options.
Project benefits are expected to include increased intersection capacity, improved stormwater collection, and minimized conflict points. Additionally, the project will involve resurfacing existing pavement and introducing upgraded landscape features.
Work is scheduled to take place Monday through Friday, from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. However, schedules may change based on the availability of materials or weather conditions.
In terms of project milestones, the design phase is complete, and final Right of Way preparation is currently being conducted.
