The Morgan County Planning Commission is scheduled to hold a meeting and hearing on Oct. 8, 2026, according to a notice posted Sept. 28. The meeting will address various legislative and administrative matters at the Morgan County Courthouse.
The scheduled meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. and is expected to conclude by 8:00 p.m. The session will be held in the Morgan County Commission Room, located at 48 West Young Street in Morgan.
Legislative items on the agenda include a public hearing regarding the Eagle Vista FLUMA and Rezone. This request involves changing the future land use map from Village Low Density Residential to Village Residential and changing the zoning on 6.29 acres at approximately 4428 W. Old Highway Road from RR-1 to R1-8 in the Mountain Green area of unincorporated Morgan County.
The commission will also hold public hearings and discussions regarding proposed text amendments to the Morgan County Code. One proposed amendment concerns section 155.132, which would permit Recreational Vehicle Parks in the Town Center (TC) zone via a Conditional Use Permit issued by the Zoning Administrator.
Another proposed amendment seeks to clarify the intent of section 155.426 (C) (5). This clarification involves how zoning entitlements apply to the flagpole or panhandle portion of a flag lot, specifically regarding whether they should be included in the calculated gross square footage of a lot.
Administrative items for the meeting include a discussion and decision regarding a Conditional Use Permit (C2) for an agribusiness located at 3390 W. Bigler Lane in the Peterson area.
Additionally, the commission will discuss a recommendation for the Wasatch Peaks Ranch Plat 1, Third Amendment, which involves the consolidation of two lots identified as C15 and C16.
The agenda also includes the approval of the Planning Commission minutes from Sept. 10, 2026. Individuals requiring special accommodations for the meeting can notify Planning & Development Services at 801-845-4015 at least 24 hours in advance.
