UDOT plans to enhance safety and improve road conditions on 5400 South between Bangerter Highway and 4800 West. Proposed improvements include installing a raised median from Northwest Avenue to 4220 West, replacing existing asphalt, replacing various utility covers, repairing damaged sidewalk and installing new pedestrian access ramps.

Please join us for a Public Hearing in an open house format on December 13 to learn more about the project and provide feedback.

A teenage suspect and his father were formally charged with murder in connection with the fatal shooting outside a Kearns church last week. The first-degree murder charge was one of several announced on Thursday against Taitusi Kai Manatau, 17, and his father, Afuhia Masiu Manatau, by the Salt Lake County Attorney General's Office.

Both Tevita Siope Tonga Kofe, 19, who was taken into custody Wednesday and Heneli Suli Grall, 19, arrested over the weekend, face one count of obstruction of justice.
