Tremonton City has released several public notices regarding local ordinances, upcoming public hearings, and requests for professional services, according to a August 19 statement from the City of Tremonton.
The city is considering the Valley Vistas PUD Overlay for two properties near North 7825 West. A public hearing regarding this matter was scheduled for Tuesday, September 8, 2026, at 5:30 PM at City Hall. Residents in the Central NPI District were invited to discuss the item at a neighborhood meeting on Wednesday, September 2nd at 7:00 PM. Written comments could be submitted to planningcommission@tremontoncity.gov.
The Tremonton City Council approved Ordinance 26-17 on August 18, 2026, which updates regulations for keeping chickens, large livestock, and animals for FFA and fair competitions. Additionally, Ordinance 26-16 was passed on August 4, 2026, to update fencing provisions. These updates clarify definitions for sight-obscuring versus non-sight-obscuring fencing and simplify rules for corner lots and utility easements.
The city has also issued requests for proposals for multiple services. An RFP was posted for emergency medical services to cover 911 calls and hospital-to-hospital transport for Bear River Valley Hospital. Furthermore, the city sought a licensed CPA firm for a one-year renewable contract to provide financial consulting and support for accounting standards and financial reports.
