Taylorsville City marked its 30th birthday with a three-day celebration held June 25, 26, and 27. The event, known as Taylorsville Dayzz, brought the community together for various festivities to honor the city's milestone anniversary.
The celebration featured a wide range of activities including a parade, car show, 5K run, and carnival rides. Attendees also participated in food booths, concerts, and fireworks.
The 2026 Taylorsville Dayzz 5K introduced a Ruckers category, where participants ran with a 30-pound pack.
A special song was written to commemorate the 30th anniversary. The lyrics were composed by Liz Belt of Synergy Family Services as a tribute to Taylorsville. Belt, a Salt Lake City native who grew up in East Millcreek and graduated from Olympus High School, wrote the piece specifically for this milestone.
City officials expressed gratitude to the volunteers, the Taylorsville Dayzz Committee, sponsors, city staff, TVPD, public safety teams, performers, and vendors. Planning is already looking toward the future, with details for Taylorsville Dayzz 2027 expected to be released at a later date.
