Alpine School District announced plans to upgrade its student information system to Skyward Qmlativ as part of ongoing district reconfiguration efforts. The technology team prepared for this transition following eighteen years of service from the previous system.
New Eagle Mountain school opening
A new school is scheduled to open this summer in Eagle Mountain. Located west of Cedar Valley High School in the new Pinna area, the yet-to-be-named school was noted for its proven design and rapid growth.
Employee benefits and retirement protections
In addition to technological and infrastructure updates, the district implemented several employee-focused initiatives. These included the availability of the EMI Health CareClinic for employees and their dependents at no cost or near no-cost, as well as efforts by Aspen Peaks to protect retirement rights for transitioning employees.
Recent district awards and appointments
Other recent district activities included the recognition of twenty-four educators with the Alpine Education Foundation Accent on Excellence Award and participation in the Great Utah ShakeOut earthquake drill. The district also appointed Craig Carter as business administrator following a unanimous vote by the Board of Education.
