The City of West Jordan is improving Sugar Factory Road between 2200 West and 1750 West. The project adds a new sidewalk, moves power lines underground and repaves the road, making it safer and more walkable for the neighborhood. Check this page for project updates, construction schedules and ways to share your questions.

About the project
Sugar Factory Road doesn’t have a continuous sidewalk on its south side. This project closes that gap and gives people a safer place to walk. The City is doing the sidewalk, power line and paving work as one project, so the road is only torn up once.
What’s planned
New curb, gutter and sidewalk on the south side from 1950 West to 1750 West
Slight road widening
Overhead power lines on the south side moved underground
A fresh road surface (mill and overlay) from 2200 West to 1750 West
Project timeline

What to expect during construction
We’ll share more details as the schedule is set. Residents along the project area will receive notice before work begins near their homes. Driveway access will be maintained as much as possible, and we’ll give advance notice of any temporary closures.
