Nine contestants are set to compete for the Miss Sanpete County and Miss Sanpete County Outstanding Teen titles this Saturday, Aug. 8. The event will take place at 7 p.m. in the Snow College Eccles Center for the Performing Arts located in Ephraim.
The Miss Sanpete County competition includes Kamrie Douglas, daughter of Colton and Melanie Douglas; Harmony Durtschi, daughter of Lawrence and Denise Durtschi; Ginny Burgess, daughter of Christopher and Esther Burgess; and Kenadee Hopes, daughter of Benjamin and Erin Maier and Boedee and Patti Jo Hopes.
Competing for the Outstanding Teen title are Kaylie Oxman, daughter of Dave and Kristine Oxman; Mily Parkinson, daughter of Kasi and Tyler Larsen and Derik Parkinson; Gema Burgess, daughter of Christopher and Esther Burgess; Bailey James, daughter of Dwight and Susie James; and Sasha Geloff, daughter of James and Sharee Geloff.
During the scholarship pageant, each contestant will perform a talent and promote a community service initiative. The winners will succeed the reigning titleholders, Ava Jensen and Kate Craven.
Tickets for the event are $10 and will be available for purchase at the door.
The pageant is scheduled for Saturday evening at the Snow College Eccles Center for the Performing Arts.
