Aspen Peaks School District has announced that applications for free and reduced lunch are now open. Additionally, the district was awarded an APEX grant to explore new career pathways for students.
The district reported that Alpine students are served more than 32,000 meals during each school day. While these meals are affordable, officials noted that families can sometimes accumulate debt on them.
The APEX grant will provide resources for the district to explore future career trajectories for students over the next five, 10, and 20 years.
The Aspen Peaks Board of Education has approved an agreement allowing the Timpanogos School District to use Aspen Peaks transportation facilities. The two districts also extended a partnership to support alternative education through 2030.
Other district developments include the unanimous approval of a new mission statement, Every Student, Every Day, and the approval of three separate early retirement incentive policies by the Board of Education.
