Heavy rain and storms trapped several people in popular areas of Bryce Canyon National Park on Monday afternoon, August 24, 2026, prompting a response from rangers, sheriff’s deputies and search-and-rescue crews. Flooding at Bryce Canyon spurs rescue efforts
Eleven people in four different groups were rescued amid the flooding, said Garfield County Sheriff's Office public information officer Wade Mathews. Mathews said the flood rescues took place on four different trails: Fairy Land, Navajo Loop, Peekaboo and Queens Gardens.
