The latest report from the Utah Department of Health shares that the presence of West Nile Virus is confirmed in northeastern Utah. As of August 1st, the Department of Health reports that 539 total mosquito pools have tested positive for West Nile Virus in the state for 2026 so far; 1 of those was located in Uintah County and 3 were located in the area reported on by the Ute Indian Tribe.
