The Blue Star Museums program is providing free admission to active-duty military personnel and their families at participating museums across America. This initiative is a partnership between the National Endowment for the Arts and Blue Star Families, in collaboration with the Department of War and museums nationwide.
The 2026 program is set to run from Saturday, May 16, 2026, through Monday, September 7, 2026. This eligibility includes National Guard and Reserve members.
Second Lady of the United States Usha Vance shared a message with military families to launch this summer's program.
Museum registration for the season is ongoing throughout the summer. A map is available to reflect museums that have currently registered for the 2026 season.
The program aims to support military families through museum visits. Participating locations include sites such as the New Children's Museum in San Diego, the Pearl Harbor National Memorial, and the Tampa Bay History Center.
