A board meeting agenda was released by the Provo City School District (PCSD) outlining scheduled sessions for study and business. The public is invited to attend the open meetings at the district office or via the PCSD Live YouTube Channel.
The study session includes a board member training session led by Emily Harrison regarding School Board Professional Governance Standards. Other topics for the study session include student travel, an overview of district focus, and an update from the DLI and Boundary Study Committee.
Additional items on the study session agenda involve an RDA request from Philo Ventures regarding Lakeview Crossing, a fee change request for the Timpview High School Marching Band, and large purchase requests for Centegix Visitor Management Systems and teacher replacement computers. The session also includes policy reviews for first and second readings.
The business meeting includes a pledge of allegiance by student board member Malaki Lesa. Business items for the meeting include travel requests for PHS Cheer and PHS Dance and Art to California, as well as several policy reviews including firearm safety training, risk management coverage for new employees, and employee work information privacy. Following the business meeting, the board was scheduled to convene in a closed executive session to discuss litigation.
