Multiple homes and roadways were flooded in Emery County Aug. 29, displacing several residents. Orangeville was especially hard hit, with photos shared online showing multiple parks, roads and parking lots completely under water. Photos were also shared of multiple homes and apartment buildings flooded.

ORANGEVILLE – A sudden round of intense storms moved through Emery County on Saturday afternoon, triggering rapid flash flooding that overwhelmed local waterways, submerged community recreation areas and apartments and sent emergency responders rushing to help slow the debris buildup. The heavy downpour quickly filled local canals and river channels, where thick debris quickly slowed the flow.
