On Thursday, the Lady Spartan Tennis team traveled to Roosevelt to take on the Union Cougars. Emery captured a pair of wins in third singles and first doubles, but the other three matches went to the Cougars, handing the Spartans a 3-2 loss.

Lady Spartan soccer welcomes the Millard Eagles to town
On Thursday, the Lady Spartan soccer squad welcomed the Millard Eagles to Castle Dale. Still looking for their first win of the season, the Lady Spartans could not keep the Eagles off the board as they were handed a 3-0 loss. Emery has just a couple of preseason games left before they jump into their region schedule on September 1st when the Lady Dinos of Carbon come to Castle Dale.

Emery upends Carbon 41-14 in rivalry showdown
The hotly anticipated return of the coal bowl between the Emery Spartans and the Carbon Dinos arrived in the Castle Country on Friday, Aug. 21, as the Dinos traveled to Castle Dale for a non-region contest against the Spartans. Having not lost to Carbon since 2018, Emery extended its ongoing win streak over the Dinos, defeating its cross-county foe 41-14.

Community comes together for Emery High NHS Back-to-School event
CASTLE DALE – On Monday, Aug. 17, the community of Castle Dale and surrounding areas came together to ease the burden of going back to school with a back-to-school event, that provided free haircuts, clothing and essential supplies to local children and families. The community’s generosity resulted in over 300 bags of clothing donations.
