The Lehi boys soccer team faced the most difficult schedule in their classification this season, according to numbers from the UHSAA state RPI rankings. Following spring break, the Pioneers managed to score in each of their Region 3 contests.
The April schedule included several closely contested matches against league opponents. On April 1, American Fork defeated Lehi 1-0 after scoring a goal following the halftime break.
Corner Canyon earned a shutout win against Lehi on April 3 with a 3-0 victory. Later in the month, Lehi faced Lone Peak on April 17, where seniors Jameson Lowry and Cole Csapo scored to bring the final score to 3-2 for the Knights after a scoreless first half.
On April 22, Skyridge defeated Lehi 5-1. The Falcons scored four goals in the first half, while senior Gavin Richards provided the lone goal for the Pioneers in the second period.
The end of April saw further competitive matchups. American Fork secured a 5-2 win over Lehi on April 24, with Benjamin Wood and senior Bode Hammond scoring for the Pioneers.
In the final effort of the regular season on April 29, Lehi played Corner Canyon to a 2-1 loss in overtime. After a scoreless first half and one goal each in the second period, the Chargers secured the win with a golden goal in the extra period. Cole Csapo scored for Lehi during the match.
Lehi finished the season fifth in Region 3. The state championship bracket is scheduled to be revealed on Wednesday, May 6. First-round games are set for Friday, May 8, with second-round games taking place at home sites on Tuesday, May 12.
