The North Ogden Planning Commission scheduled a public hearing for Wednesday, August 5, 2026, to receive comments on Zoning Text Amendment 2026-06, according to a July 23 notice. The meeting is set to begin at 6:00 pm during the commission's regularly scheduled meeting.
The proposed amendments aim to regulate commercial building setbacks, wall heights, and buffer requirements for properties adjacent to residentially zoned areas. While the application was submitted by a local business owner, the considerations will apply across all commercial zones in North Ogden City.
Proposed changes involve specific sections of the Land Use Code, including CCNO 11-10A-3 regarding minimum yard setbacks, CCNO 11-10A-5 regarding buffer zones for adjoining residential properties, and CCNO 11-10 Article C regarding design standards for commercial and manufacturing development.
The meeting will be held in the Council Chambers located in the Public Safety Building at 515 East 2600 North, North Ogden, Utah. Materials and staff reports are available for inspection at www.northogdencity.gov or at the North Ogden City Offices.
Individuals requiring special accommodations for the meeting may notify the City Recorder at 801-737-9830 at least 48 hours in advance.
