A man was killed in a shooting at a Taylottsville gas station early Saturday morning, June 20, 2026. Police responded to reports of shots fired shortly after 3:15 a.m. at a location near 4700 S 3600 W, according to the Taylorsville City Police Department.
Upon arriving at the scene, officers found a man in his early twenties suffering from a gunshot wound. He was declared dead at the scene.
Police stated that a juvenile was also injured during the incident. The juvenile was transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and did not have any gunshot wounds.
The homicide unit began working to identify and locate potential suspects. Officials expected to remain at the scene for several hours following the incident.
