Gov.-elect Spencer Cox and Lt. Gov.-elect Deidre Henderson have announced several new appointments to their administration. The announcements include roles for the DEQ and PLPCO, both of which will require confirmation from the Utah Senate.
In a recent announcement, Cox stated that the appointees Kim and Redge possess depth of experience and the respect of their colleagues. Cox noted that both individuals are uniquely qualified for their new roles.
This follows a previous announcement where Cox and Henderson named 19 key roles for the new administration. Cox stated that after a thorough interview process, he is convinced each candidate will serve the citizens of Utah exceptionally well, noting their impeccable qualifications.
Other appointments include Brittney Cummins, who has served as a member of the Utah State Board of Education since 2014, joining as Senior Advisor for Education. These appointees are set to join the administration after the Oath of Office is taken in January.
