Nebo School District will hold a Title VI 2026 Indian Education public meeting on April 23, 2026. The meeting is scheduled to take place from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Spanish Oaks Elementary School in Spanish Fork, Utah.
The session serves as a Title VI Parent Committee public meeting.
The meeting will be held at 2701 E Canyon Crest Dr., Spanish Fork, Utah 84660.
According to the district, a public hearing is required for all applicant types under ESEA section 6114(c)(3)(C). This hearing provides an opportunity for various stakeholders to understand the program and offer recommendations.
Participants include parents of Indian children, teachers, and representatives of Indian Tribes on Indian lands located within 50 miles of any school served by the agency, provided such Tribes have children in the school. The process also includes Indian organizations and, where appropriate, secondary school Indian students.
The two fundamental requirements for a public meeting are that the public must be notified and permitted to attend. Documentation of the hearing is also required to be maintained.
