The Unified Police Department of Greater Salt Lamb provides patrol operations for the Magna City precinct, covering both Magna and Copperton, according to a June 13 announcement from the department.
In addition to standard patrol services, community members have access to pooled specialized units within the Unified Police Department. These include the Violent Crimes Unit, Family Crimes Unit, Neighborhood Narcotics Unit, Crime Scene Unit, Metro Gang Unit, K-9, SWAT, and Search and Rescue.
The Magna Precinct is led by Precinct Chief Del Craig and operates out of the office located at 2711 South Buccaneer Drive in Magna. The department's business hours are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
