The Utah County Elections Division has released an election notice for voters eligible under the Uniformed and Overseas Citizens Absentee Voting Act (UOCAVA). According to the notice, these voters can participate in the upcoming election using ballots sent directly to them or by utilizing a federal write-in absentee ballot (FWAB).
If a voter does not receive a ballot in time, they may complete a FWAB. When using this method, voters are instructed to fill out the Voter Information section completely and accurately, writing in the office and candidate names for chosen races.
The notice identifies several important dates for the 2026 election cycle.
UOCAVA ballots are scheduled to be sent on September 18, 2026. The last day to request a ballot is November 2, 2026, which also serves as the postmark deadline and the FWAB deadline.
The Primary Election Day is set for November 3, 2026, with the election canvass occurring on November 17, 2026.
Specific receipt requirements are in place for different ballot types. Electronic ballots must be received by the Elections Office by 8:00 PM Mountain Standard Time on Election Day, Tuesday, November 3, 2026.
Mailed ballots must be postmarked no later than Monday, November 2, 2026, and must be received by 4:59 pm on Monday, November 16, 2026.
