Deer Valley Resort officially opened its summer season on June 19, 2026, offering a full lineup of lift-served mountain biking, hiking, and scenic chairlift rides in Park City. The resort's summer operations include expanded programming for female mountain bikers and youth gravity camps, alongside new requirements for accessing the mountain bike park.
New summer access protocols
The summer season at the Park City resort began with a focus on both recreational variety and updated access protocols. According to a press release from Deer Valley Resort issued June 16, 2026, the resort's leadership is emphasizing flexibility for guests through multiple pass options and expanded on-mountain value.

"We look forward to welcoming families and and friends back to the mountain for summer operations at Deer Valley Resort," said Deer Valley Resort President and Chief Operating Officer Todd Bennett. He noted that the resort is providing various pass options to allow guests the flexibility to enjoy the mountain however they choose throughout the season.
Introduction of Pedal Pass
A significant change for summer 2026 is the introduction of the Deer Valley Pedal Pass. The resort announced that anyone entering the Deer Valley Bike Park is now required to possess a Pedal Pass and a signed waiver. This new fee structure is designed to support trail maintenance, bike patrol, operations, and guest safety initiatives across more than 100 miles of professionally maintained trails.
Pedal Pass pricing and hours
The Pedal Pass is available as a $12 daily pass or a $50 season pass. The pass is valid only during Bike Park operating hours, which run from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily, including Twilight Wednesdays. The resort noted that riding Bike Park trails outside of these designated hours is not permitted and that multi-use trails not connecting to the Bike Park are excluded from the program.
Women's mountain biking clinics
The resort has also expanded its specialized riding programs for both women and children. The Women’s Ride Series, scheduled for July 11, July 25, and August 8, is a three-part clinic designed for female mountain bikers ages 16 and older. The program features a 1:5 coach-to-rider ratio with professional coaching, guided rides, and skill development sessions.

A 3-day series registration costs $345 without bike rental and includes a Deer Valley Summer Access Pass. Single-day clinics can be booked by phone for $115 without bike rental. The daily schedule for these clinics includes morning coffee at Carpenter Café, guided instruction from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., lunch on the Silver Lake Lawn, an open ride session, and an après session.
For younger riders, the resort is hosting the Kids Gravity Camp on July 10, July 24, and August 7. The camp is open to riders ages 10 to 14 of all ability levels and provides a 4:1 student-to-instructor ratio. Each camp day includes a lift ticket, a sack lunch, and access to full-face helmets and protective pads.
Registration for the 3-day Kids Gravity Camp is $300 without bike rental and includes a Summer Access Pass, while single-day clinics are available by phone for $100 without bike rental. The resort also offers mountain bike rentals as an add-on for these programs.
Beyond biking, the resort's summer programming includes diverse culinary and musical experiences. The Fire & Flavor Festival at Silver Lake will feature acclaimed chefs performing live-fire cooking every Saturday and Sunday from July 11 through August 9. This event showcases a rotating lineup of food, such as open-fire seafood and regional BBQ, paired with craft pours from Utah breweries and live music; admission is free with lift access.
The Snow Park Outdoor Amphitheater will also host the Deer Valley Concert Series and Deer Valley Music Festival, featuring live music under the stars. The resort offers both reserved hillside seating and a general admission lawn for these performances.
For those seeking non-biking activities, scenic lift rides are available via the Sterling Express and Silver Lake Express chairlifts. To encourage family participation, each paying adult receives one free child ticket for ages 12 and under. The resort also provides guided hikes led by experts, including options to explore native flora or learn about the local mining history through guided historical hikes.
Summer 2026 season pass options currently on sale include the Deer Valley Access Pass for $329, a discounted rate from its previous price of $425. Other options include the Solitude Summer Pass at $299 and the Wasatch Gravity Pass at $399. The resort continues to undergo significant transformations through its Expanded Excellence initiative, which has recently seen the addition of several new chairlifts and infrastructure enhancements to the mountain.
