Mountain America Credit Union is marking 9/0 years of service, celebrating a history that dates back to 1936. To commemorate the anniversary, the organization hosted a member celebration on July 16 featuring games, cookies, giveaways, and community partners.
As part of the 90th anniversary celebration, Mountain America announced grant winners for various regional organizations. Each winning organization will receive a $500 grant based on community votes.
In the South Salt Lake, Taylorsville, and Holladay area, the Live Like Sam Foundation was selected as a winner for its youth mental wellness programs. Other Utah-based winners include Cole's Pantry Inc., which serves Logan, Ogden, Clinton, Layton, and Kaysville, and Street Dawg Crew of Utah, serving Centerville, Woods Cross, and Salt Lake City.
Additional regional winners in Utah include Family Promise-Salt Lake for the Murray, Midvale, Sandy, South Jordan, and Draper areas, as well as Bees4vets for West Jordan, South Jordan, Riverton, and Herriman.
The credit union stated its mission is focused on providing personal and accessible financial guidance. The organization continues to serve members through various financial services including car loans, savings accounts, business services, and retirement preparation.
