Planning Local Musical Events
Local unit leaders have been asked to begin preparations by reserving dates and adding events to local calendars. The Church outlined several types of musical experiences, including youth music devotionals, youth concerts, and faith walks.
Details of Youth Music Devotionals
Youth music devotionals are intended to last approximately 60 minutes and should be held in local chapels to maintain reverence. These programs will use resources such as music and lyric videos that are scheduled to be published on ChurchofJesusChrist.org in August 2026 in English, Spanish, Portuguese, and French.
Organizing Larger Youth Concerts
For larger gatherings, youth concerts can be organized at the stake or area level. Because of their celebratory style, these may be held in outdoor locations or large gathering places, ideally not on a Sunday. These events can serve as part of youth conferences or camps.
Reflective Faith Walk Experiences
A third option is the faith walk, which provides a reflective experience by combining movement with guided spiritual prompts and music. These walks may be completed individually or in small groups and are best held outdoors, though indoor versions can also be used.
Core Themes and Spiritual Focus
All planned music experiences should be centered on Christ, highlight the youth theme "Walk with Me," and emphasize truths from the updated "For the Strength of Youth: A Guide for Making Choices."
