A detour on Wardleigh Road is scheduled as part of construction for the new 1800 N. Gate at Hill Air Force Base.
In addition to infrastructure updates, recent leadership changes have occurred within the base, including a change of command bringing new leadership to the 75th ABW and a new commander for the 75th MSG.
The Freedom250 flyover is set to connect Utah communities during Independence Day celebrations.
Other recent activity at the base includes an AFSC systems accountant winning a DOW data visualization award and the RAPID Lab delivering an additively manufactured F-35 canopy frame.
The Air Force continues various modernization efforts, including an AFMC initiative aimed at shifting legacy logistics to integrated capabilities. Other ongoing programs include the progress of the VENOM program into piloted flights and autonomy tests, as well as live-fire testing for the Collaborative Combat Aircraft program.
