Approximately 200 people gathered in Ephraim on Monday for the groundbreaking of the $42 million Mark R. and LeAnn W. Stoddard Social Sciences Building at Snow College.
The new two-story, 45,000-square-foot facility is designed to house the School of Social and Behavioral Sciences, supporting four academic departments and students enrolled in general education courses within those fields.
President Stacee McIff stated that the project has been years in the making.
Dean Michael Brenchley said the building will serve as a location where ideas can be challenged and perspectives can be expanded.
The project was made possible through the generosity and service of longtime Snow College supporters Mark and LeAnn Stoddard of Nephi.
