Eagle Mountain City announced June 23, 2026, that free summer lunches are available for children and teens in the community through August 7. The initiative, part of the Summer Food Service Program, relies on a partnership with the Utah Food Bank to ensure local youth have access to nutritious meals while school is out of session.
Program details and eligibility
The program serves individuals ages 18 and younger at two designated locations throughout the week. At Nolen Park, meals are distributed Monday through Friday between 10:30 AM and 11:30 AM.
Second distribution site information
A second distribution site is available at Cory B. Wride Memorial Park. At that location, the program provides lunches from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM on weekdays.
Scheduled service interruptions
While the program operates most weekdays, Eagle Mountain City noted that meals will not be served on three specific dates this summer: June 19, July 3, and July 24.
City appreciation for partners
In an announcement regarding the availability of these resources, the City expressed appreciation for the Utah Food Bank and its various partners for their role in helping local children and teens maintain access to healthy food during the summer months.
Utah Food Bank community involvement
The Utah Food Bank has a history of community engagement and partnerships with various organizations. In a report from August 2025, BZI noted that the organization had previously participated in the Utah Food Bank’s Drive Out Hunger Golf Tournament to strengthen relationships with local leaders.
Addressing regional food security
This type of collaboration aligns with broader efforts by regional organizations to address food security and community needs through both large-scale events and localized service programs.
The Summer Food Service Program remains a critical component of local nutritional support for the Eagle Mountain community during the summer break. Families seeking to utilize these services should note the specific time windows and the scheduled service interruptions in late June and July.
