Sierra Bonita Elementary has announced the winners of the 2026 Fiesta Day Reading Challenge. The contest was organized by Spanish Fork to promote the upcoming rodeo while encouraging students to increase their reading time compared to last year.
Last year, Sierra Bonita won the traveling trophy for having the most minutes read per student.
During the month of April, students participated in the challenge to meet reading goals and earn entries into a drawing. One student from each grade level was selected to receive two tickets to attend the rodeo.
Additionally, two students were drawn to win a larger prize package consisting of two rodeo tickets, a pair of Justin boots, a Resistol cowboy hat, and Wrangler jeans.
The Grand Champions for the challenge were Avery Aston and Garrett Tippetts.
Grade level winners included Hazel Miner, Avery Aston, Isaac Evans, Luna Carling, Garrett Tippetts, and Lyla Albertson.
