The 2027 Intermountain Sustainability Summit has opened its call for speaker proposals, according to a August 28 statement. The event is scheduled to take place at Weber State University in Ogden, Utah, on March 18-19, 2027.
The summit theme is titled Start Where You Are: How Small Innovations Can Spark Systemic Change. The two-day event includes a main event day on March 18, featuring 50-minute sessions such as standard presentations, moderated panel discussions, and interactive networking experiences. The second day, March 19, is dedicated to half-day and full-day workshops designed for in-depth exploration and practical knowledge.
Proposals must be submitted through the Speaker Proposal Form by the deadline of October 23, 2026. The ISS Advisory Committee will review submissions based on how actionable, engaging, relevant, and timely the sessions are, as well as their relation to the summit theme. Selected speakers will receive a 50% discount on registration for the main event day.
The Intermountain Sustainability Summit is hosted by Weber State University’s Sustainability Practices and Research Center (SPARC). For the past 18 years, the summit has brought together professionals and leaders from the business, nonprofit, government, and academic sectors.
Selected speakers will be notified in early January 2027.
