Under the proposal, the tax on a $537,000 residence would increase from $238.94 to $262.57, representing a yearly increase of $23.63. For a $537,000 business, the tax would increase from $434.43 to $477.39, an increase of $42.96 per year.
If the proposed budget is approved, the district's budgeted property tax revenue would increase by 9.88% above last year's budgeted revenue, excluding eligible new growth.
