Ogden High secured a repeat 3A girls soccer state championship with a 2-1 walkoff victory over Manti on Saturday, Oct. 24, 2026, at Zions Bank Stadium in Herriman. Senior Elle Weston scored the decisive golden goal from 25 yards out to secure the win for the Tigers.
The victory marks the first time Ogden has won consecutive state titles since the period from 2002 to 2004. The win comes after Ogden defeated No. 6 Morgan 2-1 just two days prior to the final, fueled by a late goal from Alondra Ayala.
Manti, the No. 1 seed, held a 1-0 lead deep into the final minutes of the match after McKenzie Chidester scored following a loss of a one-on-one battle by Ogden senior Ari Jorgenson. This goal was only the second time goaltender Whitney Fife had conceded a goal during the postseason.
Weston, a senior and future Baylor freshman, scored the equalizer ten minutes after Manti's goal by heading a corner cross from Gwenyth Aardema past Manti goalkeeper Averie Jo Robbins. Following the equalizer, Weston scored the winning goal from the top-right corner of the Manti box.
Ogden entered the game as the No. 2 seed and the regular-season Region 12 champion. Head coach King noted that the team has focused on accountability and fighting hard until the final minute of play.
Ogden High holds nine all-time girls soccer state titles. The program was the 3A runner-up in 2024 before winning two consecutive titles leading into the 2026 season.
