The Monroe City Council scheduled a regular meeting for Sept. 8, 2026, to be held at the City Office at 10 N Main, according to a Sept. 7 notice.
The meeting agenda includes several items for consideration, such as the approval of minutes from the Aug. 11, 2026, meeting and the August 2026 warrant register, cash disbursements, and adjustment journal. Business items include a report from the South Sevier Senior Center Board and a presentation by Planning Commission Chairperson Talon Gadd regarding affordable housing development submitted by Karl Pieper.
Additional agenda items include considering an annexation denial for Timothy and Stephanie Hughes near 1250 S Brooklyn Road, reviewing property nuisance complaints, and considering the imposition of a power surcharge (PCA). The council is also scheduled to review Resolution 8 01 2026, which amends the Monroe City Cemetery Policy.
