The Escalante City Planning and Zoning Commission will hold a public hearing on September 22, 2026, to consider amending accessory dwelling unit development standards, according to a September 8 statement.
The scheduled public hearing is set for 6:00 p.m. at the Escalante City Council Chambers, located at 65 North Center, Escalante, Utah. The session aims to address Ordinance 2026-10, which proposes amendments to Planning and Zoning Ordinance Chapter 10.22.030 regarding Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) Development Standards.
According to the notice, Ordinance 2026-10 is available for review at the City Office and on the official Escalante City website. The public is invited to attend the hearing and provide comments during the meeting.
The meeting will also include the approval of minutes from the September 8, 2026, meeting. Individuals requiring special accommodations under the Americans with Disabilities Act should notify the Escalante City Office at 435-826-4644 at least 48 hours before the meeting scheduled for September 22, 2026.
