Outdoor Odyssey, a nonprofit educational program, provided hands-on outdoor workshops for adult women ages 18 and older. The program aimed to create a supportive environment for participants to learn new skills, build confidence, and make friendships.
The workshops were designed for individuals of all backgrounds, abilities, and fitness levels, requiring no previous outdoor experience. Participants had the opportunity to engage in various activities including fishing, hunter education, target shooting, archery, outdoor cooking, camping, rock climbing, rappelling, nature photography, boating, trailer skills, hiking, and wildlife education.
An event was held from September 10-12, 2026, at Holmstead Ranch in Central, Utah. The cost for the program ranged from $400 to $450 depending on chosen accommodations and included seven meals, two nights of lodging, instruction in four classes, equipment use, and course materials.
Outdoor Odyssey follows a model used by Becoming an Outdoors Woman (BOW) programs in multiple states. The program offered various classes and hands-on experiences throughout the year to help participants discover new adventures.
