The Monroe Canyon Fire has reached 100 percent containment, according to a final fact sheet released by officials. The fire burned a total of 73,721 acres before containment was achieved.
Great Basin Team 3 was scheduled to transfer command of the Monroe Canyon Fire to the Fishlake National Forest at 6:00 PM on September 5, 2025. At the time of the update, 118 personnel were assigned to the incident.
Several areas have been reopened to landowners, including Bagley Ranch, Bear Valley, Manning, Monroe, Magleby, Guard Station, Long Flat, and Porters. However, a reduced Fishlake National Forest Closure Order for the fire area is set to go into effect starting Saturday, September 6, 2025, at 12:01 am.
