The Monroe Canyon Fire has reached 100 percent containment, covering 73,721 acres. Command of the incident will transfer from Great Basin Team 3 to the Fishlake National Forest.
The Monroe City Library Board met in April 2026 to discuss policy updates, including the elimination of fines and increased borrowing limits. The board also reviewed progress on an accessibility ramp and upcoming summer reading programs.
