From upcoming summer mountain operations in Park City to a massive religious celebration scheduled for 2027, several Utah-based organizations have announced details regarding seasonal activities and historical preservation efforts.
Deer Valley Summer Operations
Deer Valley Resort announced June 16 that its summer operations are scheduled to begin on June 19, 2026. The resort will offer scenic chairlift rides providing views of the Wasatch and Uinta Mountains via the Silver Lake Express and Sterling Express lifts. For the summer season, the resort is offering a promotion where children ages 12 and under receive one free scenic lift ticket with the purchase of an adult ticket.
Mining History Concert Event
In Park City, the Friends of Ski Mountain Mining History will host its second annual "Music For the Mines Dueling Pianos" concert on July 1. The event, featuring performers Rich Wyman and Killer Keyz, will take enough place from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Pendry Hotel. According to organizers, all proceeds from the evening will support the Friends of Ski Mountain Mining History project, which aims to preserve the Thaynes mine complex.
Salt Lake Temple Celebration Plans
Looking toward 2027, Temple Square has announced plans for the Salt Lake Temple Celebration. Running from April 5, 2027, to October 1, 2027, the event will feature exhibits and opportunities to tour the newly renovated Salt Lake Temple both in person and through a virtual experience.
