Tibble Fork Reservoir in American Fork Canyon is open for fishing this summer under Utah's standard year-round rules. However, a wildfire alert posted July 10, 2026, means visitors should verify canyon access before traveling up American Fork Canyon.
According to the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources Fish Utah page, a special alert from July 10 reported fire above Tibble Fork in American Fork Canyon. For public safety, Timpooneke Campground and Mutual Dell had been evacuated.
Fishing itself is not seasonally closed. The Utah 2026 Fishing Guidebook states that most waterbodies are open year-round from January 1 through December 31, 2026. Tibble Fork does not appear among the special-rule waters with seasonal shutoffs, so general statewide limits apply.
