As Superintendent Keith Mecham begins his new role, Box Elder School District is inviting students, parents, employees, and community members to provide feedback through a 14-question survey. This input is intended to help develop the district's strategic goals for the next five years.

Additionally, the district has opened a public review period for a proposed K–5 math curriculum, Reveal Math from McGraw Hill. This curriculum was identified as the top-ranked vendor during the district's adoption and RFP process and is proposed for implementation starting next school year.
Reviewing new math curriculum materials
The public review of the math curriculum materials can be conducted at the District Office in the Curriculum Office, located at 960 South Main, Brigham City. Materials are available from May 8, 2026, through June 9, 2026, between 8:00 AM and 3:30 PM. While no appointment is required for review, curriculum staff will not be available to answer questions during these times.
Upcoming school board meeting details
Community members can also share input during the public comment period of upcoming School Board Meetings. A meeting is scheduled for June 10th at 6:30 PM at the Independent Life Skills Center, located at 960 S Main St, Brigham City. The Board of Education will consider adopting the proposed curriculum during the June 10th meeting.
Summer lunch service updates
The district also provided updates regarding summer lunch services in the Garland/Tremonton area. Due to changing demographics, there are currently no census block groups in that area with enough eligible students to qualify for a summer lunch site. The district is working with USBE and the Utah Food Bank to identify potential community partners for meal distribution.
