An exterior rendering for the Spanish Fork Utah Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was released on Monday, July 13. This project represents the final temple announced by the late President Russell M. Nelson before his death in September 2025.
The release of the rendering came via a news release on ChurchofJesusChrist.org from the First Presidency, which is now led by President Dallin H. Oaks.
The Spanish Fork temple is planned as a multistory building measuring approximately 80,000 square feet. The construction will take place on an 8.7-acre site located at the corner of 100 South and 2550 East in Spanish Fork, Utah, and will include an accompanying ancillary building.
During his final general conference address as Prophet on April 6, 2025, President Russell M. Nelson announced 15 new temples to be built, with the Spanish Fork location being the last of those planned.
Utah currently has 32 temples in various stages of development. Of these, 25 are dedicated temples, including locations in Bountiful, Brigham City, Cedar City, Draper, Layton, Orem, and St. George.
Currently, four temples remain in the planning and design stages: West Jordan, Lehi, Price, and Spanish Fork. Additionally, the Smithfield and Heber Valley temples are under construction, while the Ephraim temple is scheduled for dedication on October 11.
