The Sandy City CDBG Citizens Advisory Committee will hold a public hearing on Sept. 16, 2026, to review the 2025 Consolidated Annual Performance Evaluation Report and discuss community needs for the upcoming 2027 Annual Action Plan, according to a September 4 notice.
The meeting is scheduled for approximately 5:00 p.m. and will be held in person in conference room #220 at City Hall, located at 10000 S. Centennial Parkway, as well as via Zoom Webinar.
Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds are used to benefit low and moderate income households and persons through various projects, including public services, infrastructure, public facilities, and housing. The 2025 CAPER serves as a year-end report regarding the accomplishments and expenditures of the City's CDBG funds for the 2025 program year, which ran from July 1, 2025, to June 30, 2026.
A draft of the 2025 CAPER will be available for review from Sept. 11, 2026, through Sept. 27, 2026. Residents can access the draft on the City's website, by request, or via hard copy at City Hall.
The City is also beginning preparations for the 2027 Annual Action Plan for the program year spanning July 1, 2027, to June 30, 2028. Officials anticipate receiving approximately $350,000 in CDBG funds during the 2027 program year.
Funding request applications for proposed 2027 projects will be available on the City's website. Applicants must submit a pre-application before Dec. 14, 2026, and a full application before Jan. 11, 2027.
Interested parties may participate in the electronic meeting via Zoom or by phone. Those wishing to comment during the meeting must use the Zoom option and have a connected microphone. The City will provide reasonable accommodations and necessary interpretation for all timely requests.
