The Midvale City Council is scheduled to hold a regular meeting on September 1, 2026, at Midvale City Hall, according to an agenda posted August 27. The meeting will include both in-person and electronic participation options.
The agenda includes a proclamation declaring September 2026 as Suicide Prevention Month and a recognition of responders to the North Union Apartment Fire. Additionally, the council will hear a report from Unified Police Department Chief April Morse.
Public hearings are scheduled regarding proposed amendments to the Midvale City Fiscal Year 2027 Fee Schedule and Utility Rates, presented by Administrative Services Director Mariah Hill. The council will also receive public comment concerning a zoning code text amendment related to Utah State Code references in Title 17 of the Midvale Municipal Code, presented by Planner II Jonathan Anderson.
Other action items include consideration of Resolution No. 2026-R-50 to authorize a development agreement with Baghoomian Properties, LLC for a property located at 7001 S 900 E. The council will also consider Ordinance No. 2026-O-27 to add a Regional Commercial Residential Overlay Zone to that same property, according to Planning Director Wendelin Knobloch.
The meeting will include discussions regarding proposed amendments to the Midvale City Policies and Procedures Manual and a General Plan Update. Public comments for the meeting may be submitted electronically via Midvale.Utah.gov/PublicComment by 5:00 p.m. on August 31, 2026.
