Springville High School has announced several updates regarding staffing, athletics, and community engagement. As the school moves forward with its new building, various opportunities for employment and historical memorabilia are available to the public.
The school is currently seeking new employees, specifically looking for individuals with a sense of humor and a desire to work with people. Additionally, the Nebo School District Child Nutrition Team has announced hiring opportunities.
In athletic news, several upcoming events are scheduled for late July and August. Girls volleyball tryouts begin on July 27, followed by two days of girls tennis tryouts starting July 28. Other notable dates include a girls volleyball Red vs Blue game on August 4 and a football Red v Blue game on August 7.
As the original gymnasium is being demolished, Springville High School is offering pieces of the gym floor for purchase to allow community members to keep a piece of school history. Options include 12-inch by 12-inch floor pieces for $25 and a limited quantity of 10-inch by 16-inch floor pieces with a replica decal for $50.
Furthermore, the Nebo School District has announced that free and reduced lunch applications are now open for the 2026-2027 school year, with families able to apply using the LINQ app.
The school continues to celebrate recent achievements, including the designation of principal Mr. Robert Fleming as the Nebo School District Principal of the Year. The SHS choir program also recently achieved superior ratings at region festivals and qualified for State.
