University of Utah Health is marking 25 years of service as Utah’s first nationally verified Level I Trauma Center. According to a press release, the institution provides lifesaving care and comprehensive recovery support to critically injured patients throughout Utah.
In a series of recent announcements, the university highlighted several organizational milestones. The Spencer Fox Eccles School of Medicine recently saw the dedication of a new $215 million state-of-the-art facility intended to advance medical education, research, and physician training.
University of Utah Health has also received national recognition for its stroke care, earning the American Heart Association’s Get With The Guidelines Stroke Gold Plus and Target. Additionally, the institution reached a milestone in 2025 by performing a record 50 lung transplants through national collaboration.
