The Portland Trail Blazers rebounded from their first loss of the season by defeating the Utah Jazz 112-90 on Saturday, Oct. 31, 2026, in Salt Lake City. Deni Avdija scored 24 points and Damian Lillard added 22 points to help Portland secure the victory.
Avdija contributed 19 points in the first half alone, including going 10 for 11 from the free-throw line, to help spark a 59-42 halftime lead. Other contributors for the Blazers included Toumani Camara, Scoot Henderson, and Jrue Holiday, who each recorded 14 points. Portland also held a 48-37 rebounding advantage during the contest.
The Jazz were held to 90 points, marking the first time this season they failed to reach 103 points. The Blazers' defense forced Utah to a season-low shooting percentage of 37.1% and capitalized on 20 Utah turnovers, including a stretch in the third quarter where the Blazers forced four consecutive turnovers.
The Jazz's loss marks their fourth straight defeat. Rookie Darryn Peterson scored 16 points, while Lauri Markkanen, returning from a sprained wrist, contributed 13 points on 3-for-14 shooting. Keyonte George finished with eight points.
Portland entered the game with roster limitations, playing without Ja Morant, who is sidelined with a hamstring strain until Thanksgiving, and Shaedon Sharpe, who remains out until the spring following knee surgery.
The Jazz are scheduled to visit San Antonio on Monday night.
