SALT LAKE CITY – After public feedback and a review of the proposed area for the O'Leary Digital project, Utah Senate President J. Stuart Adams is calling for a 75% reduction in the project's footprint.
Adams demands environmental protections
In a letter to Kevin O'Leary Adams demands for more environmental protections and transparency before the project can move forward.
Specific project requirements listed
Demands include, 75% Reduction in Project Area Footprint, Water Stewardship and Great Salt Lake Commitment, Land Conservation, Heat Capture and Environmental Impact Mitigation, Provide Additional Transparency and Public Engagement in the Process, Environmental Performance Standards
“I’ve sent a letter directly to Kevin O'Leary calling for a 75% reduction in the proposed data center project area, from 40,000 acres to approximately 10,000 acres,” said President Adams.
