Red Bull Rampage returns to Virgin, Utah, this week for its 20th edition, celebrating 25 years of freeride on the cliffs of Southern Utah, according to a September 28 report from Cycling West.
The women's competition is scheduled for Thursday, October 8, followed by the men's competition on Saturday, October 10.
The women's field is entering its third year of competition and features a 12-rider roster. Two-time defending champion Robin Goomes of New Zealand is leading the field, which includes Georgia Astle, Hannah Bergemann, Cami Nogueira, Casey Brown, Chelsea Kimball, Harriet Burbidge-Smith, Janelle Soukup, Kirsten Van Horne, Mikayla Parton, and Vaea Verbeeck.
Hannah Bergemann stated that the depth of the field shows the talent in the sport and expressed excitement for the 25th anniversary. The women's roster includes four pre-qualified athletes from the 2025 competition and eight wild-card selections.
The men's competition will feature an 18-rider field led by defending champion Hayden Zablotny. Zablotny, who won the title as a first-time competitor in 2025, will compete alongside seven other pre-qualified riders, 10 wild cards, and four rookies.
According to the report, the men's field includes athletes such as Thomas Genon, Tom Van Steenbergen, Tomas Lemoine, Reed Boggs, Talus Turk, Cam Zink, and Finley Kirschenmann. Wild card entries include Bienvenido Aguado Alba, Carson Storch, Connor Gallart, Jaxson Riddle, Johny Salido, Kade Edwards, Kaidan Ingersoll, Paul Couderc, Szymon Godziek, and Tom Isted.
In this event, athletes work with two-person dig crews to build individual lines through natural terrain, including drops, gaps, and exposed chutes. This process makes the competition as much about interpreting the mountain as riding it.
Since its debut in 2001, Rampage has staged 19 editions and crowned 11 different winners. The 2026 edition brings together defending champions, veterans, and newcomers to continue the progression of the sport.
Both competitions will be broadcast live at 10 a.m. Mountain Time on Red Bull TV and the Red Bull Bike YouTube channel. The women's event is scheduled for Oct. 8, and the men's event is scheduled for Oct. 10.
