Fillmore Middle School recently concluded a coin drive that raised $2322.36 for the community.
The school expressed gratitude for the generosity shown during the initiative, noting that the total amount was processed on a Friday.
In the 5th and 6th grade categories, Mrs. Crista Johnson's class earned first place with $13.97 per student. Mrs. Beeston's class took second place with $13.76 per student.
For the 7th and 8th grade division, a tie for first place occurred between the classes of Mr. Barber and Mrs. Lawhorn, both at $9.75 per student. Mr. Dan's class placed second with $9.57 per student.
School officials stated that the support gathered from the drive will make a significant difference to many in the community.
