Huntington City is accepting proposals from a general contractor for the installation and construction of sidewalks within the city, according to an August 21 notice.
A mandatory walk-through for the project was scheduled for September 9, 2026, at Huntington City Hall at 10:30 a.m.
Proposals must be submitted as sealed bids to Huntington City Hall no later than 4:15 p.m. on September 14, 2026. The opening of the sealed bids is scheduled for 4:20 p.m. on that same day. A bid bond equal to five percent of the proposed amount is required and must be made payable to Huntington City.
The city plans to award the bid during the regularly scheduled City Council meeting on September 16, 2026, which begins at 6:30 p.m. Huntington City reserves the right to reject any or all proposals or waive any technicality in the interest of the city.
